Pictures, Christmas, Sledding & Baby Mama

Here's a little taste of what we've been up to.
In November, my good friend Stefany offered to take our pictures so we decided to do a Christmas theme for our christmas card. She is so talented and I love the pictures so much!!! Thanks again Stef!

Love, Love, Love!!!

Love this picture.
Sweet Jersey enjoying the Christmas festivities.
Santa is scary to a 21 month old. This is the best picture that we were able to get and we saw Santa 3 times. I asked Jaylin if she wanted Santa to come to our house on Christmas eve and her reply was a frightened, "NO." Jersey, however, loved the jolly old fellow.
Luckily, both of our parents and Aunt McKell were able to come spend Christmas eve with us and join us for opening presents Christmas morning. We loved having them all here. Jaylin and Jersey sporting their new pj's.
Due to having to wake up super early to open our presents before Church on Christmas, Jaylin was a little tired, but I think she still enjoyed herself. Santa spoiled us all.
Can't believe my baby girl is already 3.5 months old. She is such a good baby and I can't express enough how grateful we are to have her in our family. She loves her daddy the most and giggles at him anytime he looks at her.

We were able to go sledding the day after Christmas with some good friends and had a blast.
Daddy and Jay
Our angel making a snow angel... Priceless!
Jaylin is our little BABY MAMA... On Christmas eve she was given a doll and decided that she was going to start trying to breastfeed. It is the funniest and cutest thing ever. Anytime that she sees somebody holding Jersey in the sleeper hold, (as we like to call it) she points and says, "milk, milk." We even got her breastfeeding on our video camera for blackmail during her teenage years. She thinks milk comes from the bellybutton for some reason... haha LOVE IT!!!

LOVE

December 20, 2005
Six years ago today I knelt across the alter from my best friend and started the best years of my life. I could never explain how lucky I am to have married such an amazing man. He is the righteous leader of our home. He is kind and loving. He is a great example of service. He is honest. He is the best father to our beautiful daughters!! I am so grateful today that this wonderful man took a chance on me. I look forward to eternity with my eternal companion.
6 years later do we look much older and wiser??

Blessing

I decided that I should probably post about Jersey's baby blessing beAdd Imagefore we are into December. Jason gave her the most amazing blessing on November 6th and we were so blessed to have lots of friends and family attend. She was so beautiful!!! Once again my talented mother crocheted the prettiest blessing dress and a baby afghan that words can't do justice to. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life!! I'm thankful to have married a man that truly does honor the priesthood that he holds and leads our family the way that Heavenly Father would want him to. Here is a picture of her special day. I love how she looks like she's doing a Heisman football pose. I might have to crop a football into this picture.

Our newest princess.
Still can't believe we are a family of 4.
Jason's amazing family. They are so good to us and love, love, love our girls!!! I couldn't have asked for better in-laws.
A four generation pic from the Johnson side.
My amazing parents. I'm so grateful for these two!!! My mother is so beautiful!! I'm so grateful for her willingness to share her talents in making these treasured dresses for my girls. I am also grateful for my dad's willingness to come to both of my daughters blessings.
Four generation picture from my mom's side (Larsen).
In other news our sweet Jersey baby is already 2 months old and growing like a weed. Her hair is light brown but long like her sisters, which I love!! At her doctors apt. she weighed 10lbs 11ozs and was 23 inches long. She has the best and most mellow personality so far. She is an angel when it comes to sleeping. Most of the time she will go 7.5-8 hours at night so I am already luckily getting pretty much a full nights sleep. I realize that could change anytime but I will knock on wood and count this blessing while it lasts. Jaylin still loves her to death and is always so helpful. Once again... we are incredibly blessed!!!

Divine Nature and a taste of Halloween

In The Family: A Proclamation to the World it states that by divine design Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of there children. I have been completely amazed at how motherly Jaylin has been with Jersey. Heavenly Father truly created women or (little girls in this case) to be nurtures. It is something that he divinely appointed us to do prior to coming to this earth. I just wanted to share some pictures of my little Jaylin taking care of her baby sister.
This picture is my favorite because anytime Jersey cries Jaylin tries to give her a pacifier When Jaylin concentrates really hard she opens her mouth as wide as it will go just like in this picture. It's serious business when it comes to taking care of your little sister.
Halloween was a little disappointing this year. We had planned on going to Boo at the Zoo because we had so much fun there last year but Jaylin ended up getting sick the day before and we're still fighting it. We're pretty lucky since it's her first time having a respiratory type of sickness and she is almost 20 months old. We were able to go to our wards Trunk-or-treat and she had fun even though she was still feeling a little under the weather.
The cutest flower and ice cream cone that you'll ever see together!!!

Of course our trunk theme was Wyoming Cowboys since we planned it last minute. It works though... GO POKES!!! Jersey had to hang out in the car taking a nap because it was a little chilly.
My adorable, sick, little ice cream cone.

Jersey's baby Pictures

We had our friend Tammy come take pictures of Jersey a couple of weeks ago. She just got them back to us and we love them. We are still trying to adjust to 2 girls and wishing that we (I) had more sleep. Oh, but the sacrifices are so worth it!!! We couldn't be happier and our little Jersey has increased our joy incredibly.... ENJOY

Sisters....
She looks like business here. So funny!!
The best daddy ever
I still can't believe I'm a mother to 2 beautiful girls!!!
Our family of Four...
Jaylin was all about posing for pictures as long as she could do it by herself and not with Jersey in the Pic.

Introducing.....

It's a perfect baby GIRL!!
Jersey Ray Kennedy

Jersey's story
We went to my appointment on the 16th in the morning to find out that I was dilated 6.5-7cm and not in active labor. I asked my MD how often he has a patient dilate so much without being in labor and he told me once every 8 years or so. The doctor forbid me to come home saying that I wouldn't make it to he hospital from Evanston so we made a plan to run some errands while he finished his day and meet him that afternoon. We went back to his office at 5:30pm and he stripped my membranes. We decided to head to my aunts house to feed Jaylin some dinner and I started to get uncomfortable around 6pm. At 6:30pm I was having contractions 5 minutes apart so we headed back to the hospital. When I got there it took a few minutes to check in and I was fairly uncomfortable and seriously wanting an epidural. The nurse checked me at 7pm and I was dilated 9.5cm but my water still hadn't broke. This is when things got hectic. My nurse ran out and there were lots of people in my room preparing and I was just worried that my doctor wouldn't make it. Dr. Nielson was there about 10 minutes later and I was hurting and wanting an epidural. He told me I could have one since my water hadn't broke so the anesthesiologist came in and started asking me questions and telling me all the risks. As he went to switch Jason sides of the bed I felt a strong urge to push and my water broke as amniotic fluid hit the wall across the room just missing Jason and the anesthesiologist. The funniest part was the look on the anesthesiologist's face and then he said "I'm out of here" and ran out of the room. My nurse started yelling for my doctor because Jersey was coming quick. Everyone kept yelling at me to not push as they were getting everything ready. As everybody was finally ready Jersey entered the world at 7:34pm. It was quite the experience. I was amazed at how much more alert she was than Jaylin and how much quicker my recovery has been. It was definitely a blessing to be able to have her natural even though that wasn't my plan. I wasn't as surprised this time to have a little girl even though we didn't know and I'm so excited for Jaylin & Jersey to have a close sister. I can't believe how much she looks like Jaylin when she was born. I feel eternally blessed to be a mother to such a beautiful daughter of God.
This man is the love of my life!!! I don't know how I could have done this without him! He is the best dad & husband ever!

WE ARE BLESSED!!!

One last post as a family of three

I decided that I would make one last post while we are still a family of 3 before baby Kennedy #2 makes it's way into our clan. First I just want to focus on my sweet baby girl. Jaylin is growing up so fast and it kinda makes me a little sad even though I love how she is learning so much all of the time. She is 18 months old now and her stats when I took her in last week were: 23lbs, 31inches and her head was in the 50th percentile. She is still my little miracle and I am forever grateful to a loving Heavenly Father for allowing her to be in our forever family. Today was her first official day in the nursery (even though she's been going since mothers day) so I decided to take a picture to document this momentous occasion. WE LOVE THIS LITTLE GIRL SO MUCH!!!
As for the pregnancy progress. I went into the doctor on Friday and am officially dilated to 5cm and 90% effaced. He is worried that I won't make it to the hospital but I'm not that worried. Whenever I think about it I am at peace so whatever happens I know it will all be okay.
Lately I have felt so close to the spirit and it brings me to tears when I think about the love that Heavenly father has shown to me during my lifetime thus far. I don't know why I'm sharing this on our blog but I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is true. I know that each and every person that has or will ever enter this world is loved equally by our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and deserves to be treated as children of God. I am so excited to welcome this precious child of his into our family. I already love this baby so much and can't wait to meet him/her very soon.
To end I have included a picture of myself at 37.5 weeks just to humor anyone that might take a peek.

36 Week Dilemma

I went in for my 36 week check up today and it kinda ruined my weekend. My doctor checked me and said I'm dilated to a 3.5-4cm and 80% effaced. Then he went on to tell me that I am not able to go on our annual labor day boating trip to the gorge. We just got our boat back out of the repair shop today and were planning an awesome trip for the weekend. Even though i'm dilated and progressing I have a feeling that baby Kennedy is still weeks away from joining our family. What would you do? Listen to your all knowing doctor and stay around so that you don't chance having a baby on the interstate? or ... head to the gorge chancing that he will never find out?...

Summer

Well our summer seems to be flying by and I'm not sure how I fell about it. We have had a fun time thus far. On memorial day we went on our annual camping trip with my high school friends it never disappoints when we go. I just wanted to post some pics from our summer thus far.
Aunt McKell has stayed with us a couple of times this summer and Jaylin sure does love her.
We were able to go to Lagoon with Jason's dad Keith and his sister Natalie's family. Here is a pic of Jaylin and Emma.
We were able to go to Jackson for Jason's work in June and it was so beautiful even though it was cold. The only picture I got was on our hike while Jason was in meetings.
Jaylin was able to ride the four-wheeler with Grandpa.
Our boat broke on our first trip out but it was fun anyway and Jaylin loves the boat and the water. I am going to say that she must be her daddys child because i've never seen her happier than when she is on the boat. This is what a day of boating will do to you.
Jaylin always enjoys getting her teeth brushed and lately she wants to do it herself after I fight her to let me do it I give her complete control.
Jaylin and Emma were able to ride Grandpa's horse and Jay ended up loving it.
Just a cute 16 month smile.
She loves, loves, loves... hunter. I think he loves her also but he sure does put up with a lot of punishment from her.

We are just plugging along and can't believe that it is already August. Jaylin is so much fun. She loves life and I enjoy watching her learn new things and say new words almost everyday. I can't imagine life without her. I am plugging along and now 32 weeks prego which seems insane. I don't feel prepared to be a mother to another little angel but I am grateful for the chance to expand our little family.
