Straight from Heaven

So on Friday at my apointment I was dilated to 3.5cm and still 90% effacted so Dr. Nielson stripped my membranes and told me I would probably go into labor within the next 24 hours. I went to my Aunt's house and walked on the treadmill for about 2 miles and nothing was happening. Jason and I were going to go to the temple with our stake at 6:00pm but I decided that I just wanted to head back to Evanston and relax so we came home. I took a bath and when I got out of the tub I was putting my clothes on and my water broke. We had only been home about 30 mintues and headed back to Utah. I was so grateful that we hadn't gone to the temple because my water broke at 6:45. When I got to the hospital I was dilated to a 4 and contracting every 3 minutes. I didn't think I wanted an epidural so I waited. About an hour and a half later I was contracting every 2 minutes and hurting so I was starting to consider getting an epidural. Not 10 minutes later I was begging for an epidural. Once they placed my epidural I was in heaven. I had the most amazing and relaxing labor and at 2:27am our little baby girl came into the world. I am so amazed at the love that Heavenly Father has for me and Jason for allowing us to have and take care of his daughter. I have the most wonderful husband and I don't think I could have gone through this without him. Now we start our new adventure as a family of 3.
