Not much growing

Here is our LITTLE bambino at 6 months old!

I took Jaylin in for her 6th month check up and she is TINY! Below the 5th percentile in weight. So we finally started her on solid food and I've started supplementing her with formula. Her 6 month stats
11 pounds 11 ounces only gained 7 ounces in last 2 months
25 inches long which is still 25th percentile and her head was still growing good also. She is still such a sweet spirit in our home and we love her so much! Some things I want to remember about Jaylin at 6 months.
She hasn't lost any hair and it is getting really long,
looks like cindy lou who!
beautiful blue eyes
momma's girl
loves being outside (she would have been a great pioneer baby)
finally sleeps through the night
loves animals
will chew on anything she can get her hands on
and so far loves sweet potatoes (the only thing we've given her besides rice cereal)
Here she is enjoying some of her first meals! She's such a big girl in her high chair.

She already thinks she is big enough to feed herself.

These are some of my favorite pictures!

Taking a nap on my scripture bag before church.

Going to watch aunt McKell at fair.

Jason's sister Natalie and her family came to visit for a week and we had a blast in the mountains, boating and just hanging out with them! This is the only picture I got while they were here of Jaylin with her cousin Connor.

At girls camp in July I laid Jaylin in this storage bucket. So CUTE!

She loves her elephant can you tell?

Great-Grandma Johnson

Great-Grandma Larsen

And to conclude a few pictures from her room.

My dad made this amazing changing table for us! I love it and it looks so good! Thanks DAD!

Completed Goals

Every new year Jason and I set down together for family home evening and make a list of family goals and then we make goals for ourselves. Like new years resolutions we hardly ever complete our goals and so the next year we try again. Well motivation kicked in this year and I have done much better on a couple of my goals. I decided at the beginning of the year that I was sick of not being able to work out being pregnant and that as soon as my baby was born I was going to need to loose some baby weight so I decided to train for a triathlon and half marathon. Jaylin was born and it was hard to stay motivated but I did complete both of these races through the summer. The triathlon was a funny experience because I CAN'T swim!!!! I did the backstroke but I did finish the race and I didn't even take last place. The half marathon was easier because my friend Ashlee trained and did it with me. It was such a fun and fulfilling experience. This was my 2nd half marathon and they just keep getting better. I can't explain the feeling of running along side 2300 people all with the same goal. It kind of reminds me of church and how we all go with the same motivation and same goal to someday finish the race called life and make it back to live in the presence of God. Even though the race is hard at times just like life, the goal is so much easier to complete when you have people around you that are striving for the same thing. Well I hope you liked that analogy but here are some pics of the half for you.
This is a picture after the half. Surprisingly I felt pretty good!

My good friend Ashlee. Thanks for doing this with me!

Happy to be done!

You might remember last year we cut down three huge trees that were in front of our house in hopes that we might someday put a driveway in. Well thanks to my dad!!!, uncle J.R., uncle Randy, a couple of my dads friends and our friends we were able to complete this project this summer. The hardest part was getting the tree stumps out of the ground. Some of the roots were huge and went clear back to our house from the street. I wish I would have taken some pictures but I guess I was to busy watching the guys work or getting in their way trying to help. I am so grateful to everyone for taking time out of their busy schedules to come and serve me and my family! Hopefully someday we can repay everyone we feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people! Here are a couple of pictures of the finished project! LOVE IT!!!

You're Gonna Miss This

Time is flying! I can't believe our baby girl is already 4 months old. She is such an amazing little angel and we enjoy her little personality more and more every day.
Her 4 month stats:
11lbs 4oz = 10th percentile
23.25in = 25th percentile
and her head is also the 10th percentile

At 4 months she can...
Roll over
Smile and giggle
smile then get mad in less than 1 second
grab many objects including my hair
sleep pretty well at night
and melt her mommy and daddy's hearts every day.
She loves....
cuddling
mom and dad especially in the morning
both grandma and grandpa's & aunt McKell(not that they spoil her or anything)
her Hunter puppy
lots of attention
being outside
her baths
sitting up
and large crowds of people (she loves watching people).
We've been pretty busy this summer trying to soak up the sun as much as possible. We've been out on the boat a few times and are still loving our purchase. We went to youth conference the beginning of the month in Rock Springs. I think the youth had a great time and it seemed successful. The end of June we were able to go to snowbird resort for Jason's summer regional and it was so fun. While we were there we took Jaylin swimming for the first time. She wasn't to sure about the water at first but then she just relaxed and enjoyed watching her friend Kolter splash around. For the 4th we went camping with my family and Jason's dad Lynn and had a great time at the Gorge on our boat. Then Kolby and Amy came and stayed the night so they could watch the crazy war zone fireworks in Evanston. We were so glad they came and are sad we didn't get any pictures. Here are some pictures I have caught the past month.
Loving bath time

Resting after a long day of boating

Just for fun

Trip to snowbird

Nothing like a first swim!

She loves tummy time and dad so when you put them together you get this smile.

This past weekend we were able to go to Laramie to visit some friends. Thanks to Ashlee and Alex for letting us stay with them. We had a blast.

She just figured out that Hunter is super funny and so she loves to watch him and laugh at him all the time. She also likes riding him and pulling his hair. He is way good with her.
