You're Gonna Miss This

Time is flying! I can't believe our baby girl is already 4 months old. She is such an amazing little angel and we enjoy her little personality more and more every day.
Her 4 month stats:
11lbs 4oz = 10th percentile
23.25in = 25th percentile
and her head is also the 10th percentile
At 4 months she can...
Roll over
Smile and giggle
smile then get mad in less than 1 second
grab many objects including my hair
sleep pretty well at night
and melt her mommy and daddy's hearts every day.
She loves....
cuddling
mom and dad especially in the morning
both grandma and grandpa's & aunt McKell(not that they spoil her or anything)
her Hunter puppy
lots of attention
being outside
her baths
sitting up
and large crowds of people (she loves watching people).
We've been pretty busy this summer trying to soak up the sun as much as possible. We've been out on the boat a few times and are still loving our purchase. We went to youth conference the beginning of the month in Rock Springs. I think the youth had a great time and it seemed successful.The end of June we were able to go to snowbird resort for Jason's summer regional and it was so fun. While we were there we took Jaylin swimming for the first time. She wasn't to sure about the water at first but then she just relaxed and enjoyed watching her friend Kolter splash around. For the 4th we went camping with my family and Jason's dad Lynn and had a great time at the Gorge on our boat. Then Kolby and Amy came and stayed the night so they could watch the crazy war zone fireworks in Evanston. We were so glad they came and are sad we didn't get any pictures. This past weekend we were able to go to Laramie to visit some friends. Thanks to Ashlee and Alex for letting us stay with them. We had a blast.


She just figured out that Hunter is super funny and so she loves to watch him and laugh at him all the time. She also likes riding him and pulling his hair. He is way good with her.

Grandpa Johnson

My Grandpa Johnson past away on Saturday June 5 at 8:48pm surround by our family at my uncle JR's house on the ranch where I grew up. He was in an accident in December where he refused to go to the doctor and he has been at home getting worse ever since. A couple of weeks ago my dad and uncle talked him into coming to the hospital where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He spent a week in the hospital where I was lucky enough to get to spend a lot of time with him everyday just talking and learning about his life. We promised him that we would not leave him in the hospital so we took him to my uncle's house. I was out of town and called my dad to see how he was doing and my dad let me know that he was giving up and had removed his oxygen. It took me three hours to get there but when I did I was able to tell him good bye and share my love with him. He had waited for me to get there since I was the last one and after I showed up he past away in about a minute. It was a hard time but peaceful and I was so grateful that I was there!
I'd just like to share some of my favorite things about my Grandpa Johnson since he requested to not have any services. I think two words can adequately describe him...HARD WORKER... If he was able to pass anything on to anyone it was his ability and willingness to work hard. He lived to work and once he was no longer able to do so he was done living.
He was the one person that helped me to understand the importance of a college education. He was so mad at me when I was marrying Jason and I know it's because he was afraid I wouldn't finnish college. Now he loves Jason and I think he was more proud of me than anyone when I graduated from UW. I always loved that he thought I was so smart even though I am not!
He would do anything for anyone and lots of times people took advantage of him but he didn't care. He never wanted to be recognized for his good works which is the way it should be.
He loved animals and I will never forget him walking his donkey down the lane with his truck. Sometimes the donkey would get stuborn and he would be dragging it with his truck.
The past few months he has got to know Jaylin and he adored her. He called her lil' Linds which I love. It will be a privildge of mine to teach her about her Great-grandpa Johnson and I know the best way to do this will be by example the way he taught us.

Memorial day and other happenings

The past two years we have met some of my high school friends on Memorial Day at Flaming Gorge for a camping trip. It is always such a good time catching up, eating yummy dutch oven food and fishing. This year was different since I am the only one of the bunch with a baby but it was a fun time. Thanks to Kolby and Amy for inviting us!

We were also the only ones with a dog. Hunter had so much fun playing in the water, helping Jason fish, and eating Todd and Jimyl's yummy halibut.

After a long day of camping, Jason and Jaylin were so tired. We took a camper to keep Jaylin warm.

Amy is a professinal dutch oven cobbler cooker and I know she doesn't even look like she's been camping.

We had to leave on Saturday because Jason had to talk and give a lesson in church on Sunday. Luckily we got our boat on Sunday night and were able to bring it back out on Monday for the first time. We love love love our boat! It's the first purchase we've made in our marriage that was for something that we didn't need. I don't have any pics of it but I will post some later.

Isn't she so cute in her little life jacket? She did so good on the boat! I was pretty worried about her but it worked out great and the movement just put her to sleep.
